Jellyfishin'

This is a Lion's Mane Jellyfish, the largest jellyfish ever discovered. It's bell (body) is 7 feet and 6 inches in diameter. The tentacles are over 120 feet long.

!!!!!

The sea never fails to fascinate me. Who knows what other wild and wonderful creatures exist deep down there?

Love to you all,
Heather

Oh my gosh, that's nightmare inducing!! I hate fish and aquatic creatures. They freak me out. My fear aside though, that's pretty incredible how large that thing is! Who knew they came that big? (Hope I never, EVER see it though. ;)

That is just crazy. I mean, who knows what all kinds of fantastic creatures there are lurking below the surface that we haven't even discovered yet! Isn't there some jellyfish that never dies? Gosh, nature can be so cool.

Wow, that is amazing! It's so strange to think that there's a whole other world below the sea that we haven't fully explored. I am constantly amazed that God's creation extends beyond what we see in our everyday sphere of life. This jellyfish is a perfect example. Dang, what a big jellyfish!

That's insane, and so incredibly rad. I am always so fascinated by the ocean and its animals, esp giants like this - giant squid, giant sharks. I love them all - but I don't think I'd want to encounter them under water!

Whoa - that is SCARY! Can you imagine accidentally coming upon that?
I finished "20,000 leagues under the sea" recently and was fascinated by the description of all the ocean life.

Ooh and will definitely look for "Water for Elephants" now. Thanks for the rec and have a lovely week darling!

oh wow! that is huge! I think if I swam into something like that I would have gone into a bite of a panic mode.

I'm actually kind of scared of ocean animals - my dad was stung by a small jellyfish when I was little, and ever since I've been creeped out by jellyfish!!

I love your blog - I'm following :)
