Even though it lacked a lot of dialogue, I thought that
Marie Antoinette more than made up for it with the stunning visuals and costumes.
These images did not make it into the film for obvious reasons, but I love the contrast of old and new world just the same :)
Love to you all,

I just watched Marie Antoinette again after not seeing it for years. Such a beautiful film! I must admit the story lines in Coppola are quite dull, but she always makes up for it with visuals and music. It's so dreamy, I could watch it over and over and over again!
I agree, I actually found the movie quite boring, but it really is a visual treat. It's the kind of movie I would put on and mute it and then play some music to go along with it and draw or make crafts or something. Cool images!

These photos are great. What a contrast. I agree that the cinematography of this film was outstanding, like all Coppola films. I wonder if there had been different actors cast, if that would have made a difference.
hahaha the contrast is great!love it
Love that movie, Kirsten is so beautiful.
Gosh how I love your blog! :) Yes I do, it's really wonderful, wish I'd discovered it sooner! Anyhow I just gave you an award over at Intrinsically Florrie http://intrinsicallyflorrie.blogspot.com/.
That film is so incredibly beautiful. :) I do rather like these images, the contrast makes me smile.

Thank you for the amazing comments as always.
I really liked this movie oddly enough. Of course the best part is when she is eating cake and looking at fashion.
