I can really think about what I'm getting. There's no pressure from sales people (which is why I was the worst sales person ever). No one is judging me for hemming and hawing over a dress (which I'm now secretly hoping Boyfriend gets for me but I'll never mention to him again or that it's not available online).Alisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608047796573694503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5390256029784869694.post-38671894002809492002010-08-01T12:22:09.076-07:002010-08-01T12:22:09.076-07:00heir to the pop tart fortune?! you are killing me...heir to the pop tart fortune?! you are killing me.

people can be so judgmental and snooty! i think you, like me, and like many folks, just try to dress the best we can within our means. we can't all shop at bergdorf's, and that is ok!

i hope you love and cherish your new items. i get the feeling that you will! and one must get some new clothes and shoes for a new job. it is just essential if it can be done!

and i think shopping at the mall is geared toward the teenagers. i like shopping on-line. the thrill of getting a package is fabulous, even if the return rate is about 50% for me. i really don't care. sometimes i'll do anything to get a deal AND avoid the dreaded mall!drollgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17098844996589898590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5390256029784869694.post-68837422928118499532010-07-31T00:42:38.356-07:002010-07-31T00:42:38.356-07:00I can relate to so much of what you said in this p...I can relate to so much of what you said in this post! I never had a lot of money, but went through a phase where I spent like crazy. That was years ago, and these days I am like you -- I analyze everything little thing I purchase! Not to be cheap...but to be smart with how I spend and use the money I have responsibly. So whenever I have a shopping spree (which sound like yours!) I also get that little feeling of remorse...but it sounds like you made such good purchases! I am sure they are all just adorable. Have fun with your new things! :]kalie brynn.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10439446634554663743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5390256029784869694.post-85409006264061523042010-07-29T10:58:26.863-07:002010-07-29T10:58:26.863-07:00love the gg images! :)

My friends and I were respectful, as were most people at the time. We didn't have our eyes glued to a cell phone. We didn't have our hair straightened to the point where it looks like floppy ribbons hanging down your back. We smiled. I really don't see this at the mall or most public places anymore. I feel the generation gap in action.

I agree! I'm only 26, but when I go to my local mall now, it is full of competing gangs of punks. There isn't a preppy in sight, actually hanging out - they seem to jump in and out of stores and then leave quickly. And before a flood closed said mall, they were having an increasing problem with gang violence and what not. Good times, good times!

The big mall in Providence has similar problems. It is three floors, and each year, people try to commit suicide by jumping from the top, or they get thrown or pushed off the top.Steve G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12021363760202667755noreply@blogger.com
