Pure Charm and Grace

“Edie was incredible on camera – just the way she moved. And she never stopped moving for a second – even when she was sleeping, her hands were wide awake. She was all energy – she didn’t know what to do with it when it came to living her life, but it was wonderful to film. The great stars are the ones who are doing something you can watch every second, even if it’s just a movement inside their eye.”
-Andy Warhol on Edie Sedgwick

Didn't we all fall madly, hopelessly in love with Miss Edith Minturn Sedgwick at least once in our lives? I still fall for her today. I used to know girls who were completely in awe of her and built their fashion sense directly from hers. I still do. Edie is eternal, you know?

Love to you all,
Heather

yes, she was adorable (and tragic). And I love that famous book about her ... can't remember the name or who wrote it, but it's really good.

Oh yes, Edie was quite the woman! It's so sad that the brilliant always end up dying so young :/ She'll always be remembered though.

I love the look and pics of your blog! And what a great pick in Edie, she's like the coolest girl--i loved watching factory girl, even though it's part tragedy, i like a little darkness in my faves.

alright yes but..there was that one time she wore tights (yes tights, not leggings, but the transparent things ballerinas wear) as pants. with a short t shirt that did not cover her...anything. and i believe no underwear. not sure on that last part.
...other than that though, she's a classic!
